#1 The St Leonards Loop
This family friendly loop takes bicycle riders through some of the most stunning parts of the Chiltens. Totalling 25.2 miles this loop is amazing and takes bike riders through the iconic Tring park and past historic landmarks like the Hawridge Windmill. The loop turns back on itself after the quain and beautiful Lee village green, featuring a mixture of paved and unpaved trail. It’s a beautiful loop to ride on a sunny day.
#2 The Phoenix trail
This monster trail takes bike riders through the stunning chiltons and out the other side to historic Oxford city centre before looping back. An amazing all day ride, this mammoth ride is stunning and great for any serious bike ridding family! #3 Whiteleaf Cross Trail
Saving the best until last! This trail ends right on the edge of the Chilterns hills area of outstanding natural beauty and the views from here are stunning, with miles and miles of open countryside in all directions.
The Whiteleaf Cross, which is where this loop starts back the other way actually has a clouded past, historians and locals alike can’t agree on the origin of the mysterious cross. The theory is that it might have been made during the English Civil War, or maybe it’s even older and symbolised the defeat of the vikings in this area, maybe we’ll never really know.
